Coming to you live from the internet café in town with Julie Mussman and Carolyn Kelly...We are having a few technical difficulties but we wanted to get word out that everyone is doing GREAT! The kids wrote the post below yesterday and we will be sure to post about our current adventures soon!!
Hola mis amigos! Today we started at 6AM. We had a fantastic breakfast with eggs, rice and beans, toast, and some juicy fruits like watermelon and mango. After breakfast Miss Kelly took us into a butterfly garden. Proceeding the garden, we went on a hike through the rainforest to the beach! During the hike we saw various types of animals such as monkeys, peccary, a snake, iguanas, and different types of birds. The beach was super cool! The tide was out so we could walk father into the water. We weren't there for long but it was a blast! After the hike, we cleaned up and headed for the Osa Penninsula. The bus rides were very fun. We played lots of games and had a great time! We ate lunch with chicken, rice, beans, and a salad. We arrived at the eco lodge and are hanging out for the rest of the day.

Listen closely to Captain Morgan- his advice is important. Please tell Jackie hello and always ask if she needs help. She's the best cook on the Osa! Happy Valentine's Day to all! ReplyDeleteI wish I could post a picture of the snowfall, since you haven't gotten to see much this year. It is coming down in big, wet flakes & is quite lovely. By the time you come back to us, it is predicted to be gone, as there is warm weather coming our way before Friday! (So say the 'weather guessers', anyway)
Internet Cafe? Reminds me of the Bourne Supremacy movie...Anyway, is Uncle Randy at the Jungle Lounge? Uncle Randy is an extra bonus if he at the Lodge. Jackie is the best cook ever! Please clear your plates and offer to help do the dishes! Enjoy the sunshine as you may never see it again once you arrive back in Ohio!!! Love you Michael Marx!

I cannot even imagine what the rainforest is like! Riley and Graceyn, we miss you but are so happy you are having fun. Olive is really confused. At 3:45 she keeps waiting by the door for you to come home ;). We love you to the moon, the stars, and back.... Happy Valentines Day to you all!

ReplyDeleteHow are things going? I can tell from the pictures that you are having a great time....keep the pictures coming. As you probably heard it snowed on Valentine's Day, but Bella and I were in Ann Arbor so we missed all of the excitement. It was really, really cold in Michigan. We saw Joseph and tried to go to Angelo's for lunch but it was packed!! After that, Bella and I took a tour of campus and I think the high temperature was 9 degrees!!! We made it back in one piece and now Bella has a bad cold. I think Pablo misses you. I caught him sleeping on your bed a couple times. Oh and don't worry, I'm taking good care of the turtle. I can't really say whether he misses you, as you know he isn't the brightest pet. He's just happy to have a food source. Well, that wraps things up around here. Take care and we miss you so much. It is way to quiet for me. Remember to wear lots of sunscreen. Love you,
